I got it! The interview was a great sign of what it will be like to work there. The job was described to me in some detail and then we discussed living in CO (she's also a transplant, but from OK) and motorcycles. The salary and benefits seem great (still waiting for paperwork to get more details on health insurance). The location is pretty good and the company seem like it has lots of opportunity for movement both sideways and up. It sure does feel nice to have been selected over 2 other applicants and know that the hunt if over. I've really enjoyed my time 'off' even though it has been a lot of work.
So, visitng CA was interesting...It was awesome to visit with people, but it was also depressing becayse it reminded of just how great family is and how far away we are.
Things about our trip:
We couldn't wait to get back out of CA because we felt like evertine on the roads were trying to kill us. Traffic blows.
The beach is nice to visit, but not nice enough to deal with things that go along with it on a daily basis.
Appreciate that residents of CO don't give you a funny look when they find oug your car costs less than the national average household income.
Pictures are below.
Sunflower fields I found while riding
