MOVING on, hopefully

Not a whole lot to report. Julie has a craft show coming up (9/19) and she is still dealing with the wonderfully incompetent city to get the tax cert she needs. One of her crazy craft ideas is above. Apparently, wearing a pumpkin is fashionable-who'd a thought.

I still like my job, just got my first paycheck. I've already had a paid holiday and bbq/picnic!

We have begun to lose our minds down here in the basement, only took 7 months...neither of us thought we would be able to make it this long. Put 2 animals in an enclosed and stressful space and ordinarily you get death...so at least that hasn't happened...yet. Although, Julie does have bite marks (darn children and their teeth, who needs teeth anyways) and bruises from my maniacal sleeping madness. Anyways, Julie has been hunting through craigslist to find a place to stay. She's finally found one that we think will be ours 10/1 if all goes well. It's a remodeled 2bd 1ba townhouse with a finished basement and a one car garage. New wood floors and carpet, all appliances included, new & efficient heater, a/c and water heater. We should know Monday, once he's had time to call our references. It's a disgracefully long, 2.9 miles to my office (currently ~17 miles). So, it would take about twice as long to put on & take off my motorcycle gear than it would take to get there.

  1. That is so cool. I'm glad you're gonna be able to get out of this place. We want to see pictures when you move in... says the girl who still hasn't posted pictures of her new place.

  2. Cool news. Glad to hear you're happy with your job, Greg and that you guys might be moving soon. I can only imagine how happy you must be to get your own place. Basement living must get old really fast!
