Lesson for the day: Businesses offering the service of blowing water out of one's sprinkler system before the winter freeze are not scammers. Lauren thought this procedure wasn't entirely necessary so she decided to spare the expense....Spring is here, so the sprinkler system was turned on for a test. There was a break in the pipe (likely from freezing) and water drained down and through our wall. Julie discovered the problem after dinner a couple nights ago when her socks got soaked. We had to move everything off the carpet so that it could be pulled up and dried with fans. We now have only half the livable space we've been used to. Not sure yet exactly how or when everything will get back to normal. We have to climb over our bed to get the computer and tv-that's just for starters. We can't wait to get that space back!
Better news, Julie and Lauren will be in a craft show this weekend. Julie has 80+ croched hats to sell, scarves, wine charms, and stikpins (www.stikpins.com). Lauren is selling soy candles, lotion, and lip balm (all homemade). Unfortunately, the booth next to them is also selling soy candles.
This week we went hiking in Boulder, it was beautiful. The hills were very green (although, no flowers yet). No exciting wildlife, I think that's rare in Boulder-unlike the RMNP.
Sorry there isn't anything more exciting to report. We didn't have time for anything other than watching the kids and preparing for the craft show.
Go Ducks!
what are her price points for the show?
